| ...because life is simply too short not to give back to the community. For years, Marnee Robinson, Cookie Executive Officer (CEO) of Marnee’s Cookies, has been very active in local communities…from her early Maine days, in helping to restore the St. Lawrence Arts & Community Center, the Portland Observatory as well as the growth and revitalization of Portland’s Munjoy Hill neighborhood. In Bath, Marnee’s involvement focused on Main Street Bath helping promote small businesses locally with events and promotions. Soon, she embarked on a four year journey with other ‘foodies’ to start the grassroots organization of Maine Food Producers to support and grow the bourgeoning gourmet food industry here in Maine. The Cookie Karma Affair Marnee’s Cookies is following that same tradition of building community karma – one cookie at a time. In 2006, Marnee held the first annual charity event - The Cookie Karma Affair. The Cookie Karma Affair was held to celebrate National Cookie Day on December 4 (which also happens to be Marnee's birthday!) This event kicked off the holiday season with a gourmet cookie tasting and charity event. A fun-filled event where guests voted for both their favorite cookie of the year and most importantly, their favorite charity. The charity with the most votes received a charitable donation. Cookie Dough Nations Marnee’s Cookies regularly donates her culinary perfect cookies to local events and non-profits. Marnee’s Cookies have been found at events all over Bath, Maine and beyond. The cookie dough-nation list continues to grow annually, a source of pride for the cookie enthusiasts at Marnee's Cookies.
